Students don't read email. They answer texts.
Paige is a texting coach for every student, and a short list for the staff who help them. She tells students what's due, answers campus questions any hour, books tutoring and advising, and flags the students who go quiet before it shows up in their grades.
No app to download. No roster from the school. Works alongside your advising system.
Example. Made-up student, senders and courses.
The problemHow a student goes quiet
"I stopped checking email. Then I stopped going to class and booking advising. Nobody noticed." Sunny Jackson, founder of Pylor and UNC Charlotte student
By then the semester is half gone. Schools already have advisors, tutoring and early alerts. What's missing is a way to reach the student that the student actually opens.
For studentsA week with Paige
One text thread for school.
Students sign up with their school email and get one number to text. No portal, no login to remember, the same place they already text their friends. Here is one week of it.
The week ahead, from their own Canvas
Once the student connects it: due dates, grades, and what they need on the final. Everything due in the next seven days, in one text.
Campus answers, any hour
Tutoring, offices, deadlines and events, from the school's public information.
Help at a real time
Tutoring or advising booked at an open slot, a reminder so they show up, and a same-day rebook if they miss it.
Due today
A short morning brief before class, on a time they pick.
The email that matters
If they connect their school email, Paige texts them when an email actually needs them. Only sender, subject and date are read.
The night before, and reminders they set
A heads up the night before, not the morning of. And anything they ask to be reminded about.
Example thread. Made-up student and courses.
Drift alarmSet by the student
Students set an alarm on themselves.
The student decides when Paige should step in. When it goes off, the text never names a course or a count. It's an offer, not a verdict.
Text me if I miss 2 deadlines in a row, or go 7 days without handing anything in.
The setting, as it reads in the student's hub.
- Their rule, their consent. Turned on in the student's own hub, about their own classes.
- Reply "advisor" and Paige offers real open times.
- Miss the appointment and Paige offers a new time that same day.
For staffThe advisor desk
A short list, with reasons.
Advisors and success staff get one page: who needs a person, why in plain words, what Paige already did, and the next move.
| Student | Why | Paige already | Next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jordan M. | Quiet 21 days | Texted twice with tutoring times. No reply. | Reach out yourself |
| Aaliyah R. | Drift alarm fired | Booked her with advising. She missed it. | Call today |
| Chris T. | Missing Canvas work | Sent the due dates and drop-in hours. | Check in by Friday |
- Plain words, never a risk score. "Quiet 21 days" or "Drift alarm fired", not a number nobody can explain.
- What Paige already did, so nobody sends the same text twice.
- Every case gets an ending. Assign it, resolve it with an outcome, or reopen it.
- Data health. Staff can see when a feed is behind, so a quiet list is never quiet because the data stopped.
SafetyPaige never counsels. She hands off.
When a text is serious, a person hears about it.
Checked before the AI answers
Crisis language is caught by fixed rules first. Nothing a student types can talk its way around it.
In every crisis reply
Plus campus help, any hour, even in quiet hours.
A person at the school is alerted
Right away, with a 15 minute acknowledge clock. Nobody acknowledges in time, it alerts again.
What Paige won't do
She says she's an AI on first contact and whenever asked. These go to the right office, every time.
Grades, GPA and financial aid figures are never sent by text. STOP ends it.
- Financial aid decisions to the office
- Immigration to the office
- Disability accommodations to the office
- Mental health, outside a crisis to the office
- Legal questions to the office
- Grade disputes to the office
ConnectionsWhat Paige reads
Live on day one. More after IT review.
A pilot needs nothing from your systems. Students connect their own accounts. Deeper connections switch on only after your IT office approves them.

The pilotSpring 2027
Start with one class.
We're scheduling Spring 2027 pilots now. One class or cohort, one semester, students opt in, and your IT office reviews everything first.
